A black belt from American Top Team, Ailton Barboza is the newest Brazilian in the Bellator cast. According to his physical trainer Stéfane Dias, the fighter signed with the organization after a submission victory over fellow Brazilian Anderson Melo, at Championship Fighting Alliance, on July 23^rd. A BJJ specialist, Barboza is 9-2 in his MMA record, with seven of his wins coming via submission. He’s riding a five win streak since his last lost, on 2009.
